Chris Baker is Director of Research for the William Temple Foundation based in Manchester, and is also Senior Lecturer in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Chester. He researches and publishes widely on the contribution and identity of faith groups within urban regeneration, public policy and civil society in the UK and beyond. He is fortunate enough to live in the Yorkshire Dales with his family (plus six hens, the dog and a three-legged cat), so it is not surprising that his favourite hobbies include walking. He also has a keen interest in theatre, cinema and anything to do with cities. He also carries the cross of being an ardent Charlton Athletic supporter.
