Gordon Giles
Gordon Giles is Vicar of St Mary Magdalene, Enfield and Director of Post-Ordination Training for the Edmonton Area of London. A musician by training, he holds degrees in music, philosophy and theology from Lancaster and Cambridge Universities. He is also the author of the popular Advent devotional, O Come Emmanuel: A musical tour of daily readings for Advent and Christmas; a book on hymns, The Music of Praise; The Harmony of Heaven: Musical reflections for Lent and a Lent Book, Fasting and Feasting. He is also a contributor to A Companion to Common Worship, Vols 1 and 2.
