Graham Twelftree
Graham Twelftree was born in South Australia and his first job was working on the family wheat and sheep farm. After conversion and a sense of call to ministry he went to the University of Adelaide studying history and politics. In 1975 he moved to England with Barbara, his wife, and their two-year-old daughter Catherine. Their son Paul was born in Oxford when Graham was reading theology at Mansfield College, where George Caird was the principal. At the University of Nottingham Graham did his Ph.D. under James Dunn. After teaching for three years in the All Souls College of Applied Theology (London), the family returned to Australia where Graham was ordained in the Uniting Church in Australia. He pastored for a number of years before planting a Vineyard Church. He continued to research and write, and in 2001 was invited to join Regent University’s School of Divinity. He teaches New Testament in the Ph.D. as well as Masters programmes.
Graham is a member of the international Studiorum Novi Testamenti Societas and the editorial board of the Journal for the Study of the Historical Jesus. He enjoys classical music, photography, travel, and keeping in touch with grandchildren in London and Adelaide.
