James G. Crossley is lecturer in New Testament at the University of Sheffield (UK). He is the co-author of How Did Christianity Begin? (SPCK, 2008) and the author of The Date of Mark’s Gospel: Insight from the law in earliest Christianity (T& T Clark, 2004), Why Christianity Happened: A sociohistorical analysis of Christian origins 26–50 CE (WJK, 2006) and Jesus in An Age of Terror: Scholarly projects for a new American century (Equinox, 2009).
