Marion Carson
Marion Carson is the author of The Pastoral Care of People with Mental Health Problems (SPCK, 2008) in the New Library of Pastoral Care series. Marion worked for many years as a psychiatric nurse (registered mental nurse) in the hospital and community setting in Glasgow. She was responsible for setting up and managing a hostel, run by the Church of Scotland’s Board of Social Responsibility, for patients discharged from long-term psychiatric care.
After gaining a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from the University of Glasgow, she took up the post of lecturer in New Testament Pastoral Care at the International Christian College, Glasgow, and she regularly teaches on mental health.
