Peter Oakes
Dr Peter Oakes is the author of Reading Romans in Pompeii (SPCK, 2009). Peter is Greenwood Lecturer in the New Testament at the University of Manchester and has also taught Roman History at the University of Liverpool.
He is editor of the Journal for the Study of the New Testament Booklist and his publications include Philippians: From people to letter (Cambridge University Press, 2001) and, as editor, Rome in the Bible and the Early Church (Baker/Paternoster, 2002).
