Rosemary Lain-Priestley

Rosemary Lain-Priestley is an Anglican priest and a regular contributor to ‘Thought for the Day’ on BBC Radio 4. Her current work focuses on developing the ministry of female clergy both locally and nationally. She is also a trustee of the Sandford St Martin Trust which promotes excellence in religious broadcasting, and is chair of governors of a secondary school in Tulse Hill.
She spent 7 years as Assistant Priest, then Associate Vicar, at St Martin-in-the-Fields and, prior to that, was curate of St Paul’s, Scotforth, Lancaster. Before ordination she worked and travelled in South Africa and, before that, was an immigration adviser.
She is married with three young children and lives in central London. In rare moments of freedom she enjoys reading modern novels and poetry, going to the theatre and cinema and watching any television drama series that involves crime, counterterrorism or forensic psychology.
