Improvisation
According to Samuel Wells, the technique of improvisation, used in drama, can be applied successfully within the realm of Christian ethics. Often seen as a rigid code of conduct and subject of endless debate, ethical matters in their official sense are largely ignored by the average Christian.
Christian ethics should not be about rigid codes of conduct but rather a way on ‘faithfully improvising on the Christian tradition’. This book is a study on how Christians can use improvisation to turn the church into a community of trust so that it may faithfully encounter the unknown future without fear.
