The Old Testament psalms were the songs and prayers of a people who were deeply aware of their need to talk to and to listen to God in their daily lives. However, this isn’t as easy as it sounds, most Christians struggle with prayer and listening to God.

David Adam is no different and in Music of the Heart conveys with great honesty his endeavours to keep in contact with God through good times and bad through songs of praise, prayer and lament written in the psalmist tradition.

He hopes that through personal use, these prayers will help others find their own way of expressing hopes, fears and love to the One who is waiting to listen and speak into lives.
