The Road of Life focuses on the stories, moods and attitudes of the many pilgrims he has met during his 13 years as Vicar on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.

Each pilgrim is different, some David Adam has shared a few days with, some only a few precious moments but each encounter was unique and inspiring. David Adam asks the reader to come along with him and join these pilgrim people as he believes that we all need to find our own ‘holy island’, a special and important place that we should seek and carry in our hearts. The pilgrim journey, after all, is not measured in miles but takes us to the depths of our being and the mystery of creation.
