The assemblies in this book have all been taken from the Assemblies website (www.assemblies.org.uk), which is used by most schools. They have been devised by practising teachers who are engaged in their delivery every week. They can be used straight from the book, or for inspiration, or adapted to suit your audience.

There are five sections in the book:

1. wisdom and advice on daily life and behaviour
2. important issues of life
3. Christian seasons and key times of the school year
4. the Bible and inspiring people
5. a final section of ‘assemblets’ – short tales with a twist that can easily be committed to memory and used when time for reflection is short.
